- Requesting a new tool. Tell us what you want, what you've been using instead, and why it isn't enough. Specific requests with concrete examples tend to ship faster than general ones.
- Reporting a bug or wrong output. The fix is faster if you include the tool URL, what you put in, what you got out, and what you expected.
- Telling us about a broken layout. Browser + OS + screenshot if you can. We test on Chrome/Firefox/Safari + iOS/Android but corner cases slip through.
- Suggesting documentation improvements. If a tool page is confusing, missing an example, or has an error in the explanation, we want to know.
- Asking how a tool works. We're happy to explain. Tool documentation is meant to be self-explanatory but sometimes it isn't, and that's our problem to fix.
What we can't help with
- Debugging your code. The tools format/decode/validate the inputs you give them. If the input is wrong, we can't tell you why your application is producing it. Try Stack Overflow or the docs for whatever library you're using.
- Making changes to your domain's DNS, SSL, or email setup. We have tools to inspect these things, but we don't operate domains for users. Contact your DNS provider, hosting company, or domain registrar for changes.
- Account recovery or password resets. Toolsy has no accounts. If you're trying to recover an account somewhere else, you're on the wrong site.
- Custom development or consulting. We don't take freelance work through Toolsy. If you need help building something specific, hire a developer through a referral or a marketplace.
Response time
Most messages get a real reply within 48 hours. Bug reports and security issues are prioritized — we usually respond same-day. Tool requests get acknowledged quickly even if they take longer to actually build.
We don't have a phone number or live chat. Email is the right channel; it gives us time to think through your question and respond well rather than reactively.
